Registration Process

The Ecuadorian Cycling Federation (FEC) has announced that the registration process for national teams competing in the 2026 Ecuador Cycling Tour is open. Interested teams must request the form at ruta@fec.ec, complete it with the required information, and resend it to the same address. The final deadline to complete the process is Sunday, August 23 at 5:00 p.m. All team members, including staff, must hold a valid UCI license to participate.

Tour Details

The 42nd edition of the Ecuador Cycling Tour will take place from September 7 to 13 and will feature seven stages across six provinces, covering approximately 940 kilometers in total. Each stage includes flying points and mountain prizes of various categories.

Stages

1. Machachi (Pichincha) – Baños de Agua Santa (Tungurahua): 135.24 km, 1,713 m positive elevation, second‑category mountain prize, flying points in Latacunga and Pelileo. 2. Circuit in Riobamba (Chimborazo): 129.68 km, 1,370 m positive elevation, circuit with start and finish at Loma de Quito, three flying points and three fourth‑category mountain prizes. 3. Urbina (Chimborazo) – El Boliche (Cotopaxi): 141.37 km, 2,511 m positive elevation, two flying points and a second‑category mountain prize, final ascent to El Boliche of first category. 4. Sangolquí (Pichincha) – El Cajas (Imbabura): 145 km, 3,132 m positive elevation, passes Quito and Tabacundo, two flying points and two mountain prizes, first‑category ascent at El Cajas. 5. Bolívar (Carchi) – Tulcán (Carchi): 105.76 km, 2,545 m positive elevation, shortest stage, passes San Gabriel, Julio Andrade and San Pedro de Huaca, two flying points and two second‑category mountain prizes. 6. Tulcán (Carchi) – Cuicocha, Cotacachi (Imbabura): 158.25 km, 3,399 m positive elevation, queen stage, passes El Ángel, Pimampiro, Ibarra and Otavalo, ends at Cuicocha with a first‑category mountain prize. 7. Cotacachi (Imbabura) – Mitad del Mundo (Pichincha): 125.88 km, 2,860 m positive elevation, passes Otacalo, Tabacundo and Cayambe, two flying points and three mountain prizes before the final descent to the Mid‑World.

Additional Requirements

Besides the UCI license, teams must submit complete documentation before the deadline. The FEC reminds that participation is exclusively for national teams wishing to join the 42nd edition of the competition.
