During a talk in Quito, the former national team player emphasized that the search for talent should not be limited to a few spaces, but should be part of a clear strategy. La Tri comes off a loss to Mexico (2-0) on July 1, but their recent form shows a team in transition: 1 win, 3 draws and 1 loss in their last five matches (LDWDD). ## What should the FEF do to train goal scorers? Tenorio criticized the Ecuadorean Football Federation (FEF) for not having a concrete plan for the development of forwards. “The coach who comes must have a clear project of what they are looking for”, he stated. He argued that the FEF must set long-term goals and not hire coaches without a roadmap. “Those who are in charge of the federation today can stay for 20 years, but those 20 years must go towards responsibility”, he said. ## Where to find new talent? The former forward invited those responsible for the national teams to leave their offices and travel the country to discover new talent. “Go see second division football, neighborhood football if you want, you will find players”, he recommended. Tenorio also highlighted his project in Esmeraldas, where he works on the comprehensive training of young footballers. “It is a comprehensive project, I don’t just select the best, but I work with everyone”, he explained. ## What’s next for La Tri?
